True to size. I wore them all day today. The leather quality seems good. The inside of the boot is slippery so my heel slides around. I'm thinking of putting inserts into the heels to see if that makes it better. A little soreness where the bones on my ankles stick out and rub the sides of the boot - but I think these boots just need to be broken in. Heel inserts might fix everything.
