These boots are absolutely fantastic - in ALMOST every respect. Read on.

OTK boots are a tricky proposition for a whole bunch of reasons you are likely familiar with. These boots are beautiful and they do a great job at being totally stylish without going anywhere near cheap and trashy. They do not feel cheap nor look cheap - they are beautifully made. They ARE better quality wise than many boots in the same price range. They are MAJOR comfortable. Size wise I would say they are great for girls with average to slim legs. I'm 5'9" and they sit perfect over the knee - and under the knee when the cuff is folded down. I have fairly slim legs (approx 13-1/2 - 14" calves) and there is no slouching. They are very sleek on. I ordered the "Noce" color. Its not quite as dark and its little redder than than portrayed in the pics. The color is gorgeous - rich.

THE PROBLEM. I'm in a real dilemma as to whether or not I will return these.Why? Its that one of standout qualities could actually be a problem - depending on your sensitivities. You see, the leather is so luxuriously soft, that it leaves one wondering about the durability of these boots. The leather's finish appears prone to marking / scratching - under normal wearing conditions. Another reviewer cited how, when they crossed their legs, they were shocked to find how easily the rear zipper/tassle of one boot had marked the other boot!! That review was taken down (how strange!). Now I have these boots in hand - I can see what she meant. There were even some scratches ON THE BOOTS when I opened their box for the first time! Worrying.

Its tricky. I didn't buy these to tramp the jungles of Africa - but things happen, even in the urban jungle. I don't want to be on tender hooks about their boots!

I have to make a decision - whilst I can still return them. Very difficult.
