I wanted to love these boots, but they just didn't work out. Because the area of the sole is so tiny and the foot molded so closely to the shape of your natural foot, these looked to me like tall moccasins once they were on. Actually, I think moccasin socks might be a more accurate description. Not a good look! The boot was quite hard to get on. Also, there is a piece of cardboard or plastic inside the heel cup to give it shape, and it chafed horribly against my Achilles tendon. It's inside the boot so there's no way you can break in that area to make it less painful. My calf is 14" circumference at its widest point and the shaft juuuust barely fit against my bare skin. My feet are 8 1/2 regular width and felt pinched in these width-wise. Good points: I ordered the bordo color and it was gorgeous, a deep neutral brown with a hint of oxblood. The quality and workmanship seems good and the boot has a nice tread on the bottom so you don't go sliding everywhere. If you have narrow feet and slim calves, these might work for you.

I really wanted a nice black ankle boot that could serve a variety of purposes, was comfortable and stylish and well-made. These really fit the bill. Not only did I wear them to work all day, but into the evening as well. My feet are normally really hard to please, but I never had a problem no matter how long I wore these. I got two complements the first day I wore them, from people I didn't even know!

I am an 8.5 and the 39 worked very well. The leather is so soft and the boots just feel very sturdy. My favorite part of this product is that Sanita strives to be a green company. I am very pleased and will purchase Sanita again.
