I got these shoes in black velvet. They quality is nice and the shoe is beautiful. There is a cute satin ruffle running along the back of the shoe. The heel height is over 5 inches, and the platform is about 3/4 of an inch. Just the shape of the shoe fits my foot strangely. It doesn't fit the shape of my ankle properly in the back. Also the shoes do not stay on. Even with the tie across the instep, they just want to slip off and do not feel comfortable. I got these on sale dirt cheap at a costume site so I am not terribly heartbroken, but it would have been nice if I could have used them. You may have better luck with these, but for me they just didn't work.
