I wear a size 6 shoes but since I've owned an EMU before they usually run bigger so you have to go 1 size smaller, so I got them in size 5 and it is perfect just enough room if you wear a thicker socks. I am so glad to have found Munro shoes! It is not easy for me to find shoes that I think are stylish and comfortable at the same time, but so far Munro has really come through! Love these boots so much that I have two reserve pairs! The very European look of the smooth, folded leather is just what I was looking for. And I wear them all day and no "break-in" time with Munros for me. I love these shoes and especially the fact that I found comfortable shoes that don't have "duck toes" on them - can't stand those super-round toe styles - wore them in the 3rd grade and hated them then too. I felt compelled to write a review for other women whom may have my same problem. I'm not terribly overweight (5'2" and 125 lbs) but I have 15 inch calves. I have gone into a department store and literally tried on every single black boot that they sold and couldn't zip up a single one over my calves. I found these on line that weren't advertised for a "wide calf". Typically, those that are specifically for a wider calf are more expensive and I wasn't willing to fork out more money than the next boot wearer just because I wanted to wear my jeans inside my boots instead of outside. But after an inquiry, I was pleasantly surprised to hear that they would, in fact, work for me. I was a little skeptical about a boot that zips behind the leg but I have to admit that they are PERFECT. The quality is good, the fit is exactly what I needed. The ankle area seems to be a little larger than needed but it doesn't take away from the stylish look. Because these are so reasonably priced, I'm thinking of buying them in other colors. Overall, I am VERY pleased with my purchase.

P.S. I think that Riverberry is the same as the brand Bamboo since these came in a Bamboo brand box and the sole had the name Bamboo on it.

These boots have lasted me almost 3 years. For the first 2, I was wearing them daily every season. The sole is wearing a little only now. I had waited and waited until the price was reasonable, and it was so worth it. These boots are one of the better investments I have made. I actually am a size 7 and have a very wide foot.
