I bought these because I loved the look. For the price I expected good quality (I wasn't paying good attention but they are made in China). The first time trying them on the zipper seemed very stiff and I had a hard time unzipping the boot which made me wary. Once I got the boot on I realized they run a tad large (I'm a 7 which is what I orderd and had about a half inch in front of my big toe) When I tried to zip them up the zipper wouldn't budge and then the leather tab attached to the zipper broke off. Even with it off my foot, I couldn't get the zipper back up so they are headin back to Amazon.

Skechers Spartan Echo Womens Boots Taupe 6 Review

These boots are well made and stylish. I bought these to replace my snow boots that were just not keeping my feet warm. There are some stiff pressure points throughout this boot but I am hoping they will loosen up with time. As far as warmth, it just isn't there; nothing much between your foot and the snow or the ground. When I found these online I was under the impression that they were a snow boot, there was little information available. I saw the fur trim and thought wow those look warm and the price was right. After wearing them for a short time and really looking them over I now realize that the are not a snow boot at all, just a glorified rain boot. The thick fur lining starts above the ankle and ends at the top of the boot, so my lower legs are nice and warm but not my feet. I rely heavily on customer reviews of products that I know nothing about so, I hope this helps someone out there make an informed decision. I really do like the boot, just not for 30 degree or less temperatures. Just as a side note, I am a sketchers fan, I have lots of their tennis shoes, I always buy a 1/2 to a full size larger as they run small.

First, I have always worn size 41 without difficulty. The design was exactly what I have been searching for.
These boots were more like a size 39 and narrow, rather than 41 medium.
Second, the distressed look appeared natural online, but when the ordered boots arrived, they looked like someone took black shoe polish and pressed it onto the toes and heel, along with several other spots, causing it too be too dark on the bone color.
The leather is more like bonded Mexican leather than genuine Italian leather and very flimsy.
I could not recommend the boots because they were at least two sizes too small and overkill on distressed appearance.
