These are such gorgeous boots. They're finally starting to break in a little and are getting way more comfortable. Color is exactly as pictured. The only "issues" I had were that the toe of the boot was a little pointier than what I thought it would be, and there is NO traction on carpet before you break in the outer soles of the boots. That led to some interesting times around the apartment, but it's not a problem anymore, and the toe is kind of growing on me. Frye quality, of course, surpasses all. Delivered incredibly fast.

I'm pretty limited since companies aren't making many shoes below a size 6, so I was grateful to find these in a 5.5 and be so pleased with them.

They fit true to size.

The leather is nice.

I wasn't crazy about having some logo on the back, but it's not really noticeable.

The heel is nice and substantial and the rounded toe is perfect.

I find high heeled shoes give me more arch support than flats do, and that's true with these as well. At first they felt a little tight on my instep, but my feet are pretty messed up with freaky high insteps and arches from years of ballet, so that might be just me. By the third time I wore them, though, they were just fine.

They are very roomy in the calf. My calves are average for my size 5.5 foot, and there is still plenty of space in there.

I've had them now for almost two months and they seem to be holding up very well. I do wear them quite a bit. I bought these for the way they look, however, so I really can't comment on the quality of them for purposes other than walking around and looking super fabulous. I LOVE them!!

I bought these for my daughter, and selected them because they had the look she wanted, plus enough padding on the inside that she could wear them comfortably all day. She is pleased with them and wears them all the time.

Only two minor issues. One, since they are not leather, they are not going to get that worn-in, sort of "floppy" look that you see in a lot of the fashion pages, where the models are wearing the boots half-laced and folded over to make cuffs. Two, the straps across the front need a few more holes put in them so you can tighten them properly.

I have been looking for a pair of knee-high brown boots for day-to-day wear. These almost fit the bill - they are very cute on, have sort of a Scandi look from the clog shape heel. The leather is of good quality and fit well around the calf and ankle. The shaft wasn't gappy at the top.

Onto the bad - the left shoe was not smaller, but it did not fit like the right one. It felt slightly tighter across the vamp or where the "foot" of the boot met the shaft. I'm sure the leather would stretch with wear and become comfortable, but it seems like they might stretch unevenly. Otherwise they fit true to size. The shaft height is flattering.

Second, I bought the "Texas Brown" color. They are not the brown color they appear in the photo - the whole boot has been strongly whited. The color is like a dark grey or a cool taupe. It is not unattractive at all, it's just not the brown I expected. The leather finish also looks more distressed than in the pics.

Tl;dr They're very cute but not brown!
