Winters where I live can be harsh and I had a job that required me to be outside most of the day. These boots lasted me all winter long! My feet stayed warm and dry in these boots through the whole season. I wore them everyday for four months, running and walking around for the majority of my time at work. The soles did wear down, but no holes and I didn't have to waterproof the boot again! I would recommend wearing a pair of thick wool socks for extra warmth and comfort (although, if you just need them as a pair of winter boots and won't be outside long, cotton socks are just fine). These were great winter shoes, but I'm not sure they'll be up for the same torture I put them through next winter. I'll still wear them walking out!
