I was uncertain before ordering because these boots are so inexpensive.
I'm pleased to say I was wrong, these boots look better than the picture and they are nicely made.
Of course they aren't for snow or heavy rain, the material is fabric that look like flannel and feels like canvas -I sprayed them with "protect-all" from Kiwi brand to make them stain and water resistant- they look the same as "Blowfish Women's Haha" boots for less money, and considering what most brands charge for fake leather and fabric shoes these days, this are a steal .
I found them to be true to size, comfortable and perfect for both skirt and leggins type pants.
I'm very pleased.

These are so cute. The first two times I wore them I got so many compliments. Then, a nail came out of the toe. Then, the soles started to seperate from the boot and water started coming in. On top of that, within 2-3 wears, the toes got so scuffed up they looked terrible. And believe the other reviews that say these are hard to get on. I thought it wouldn't be a problem.....it took over 10 minutes to put one on the first time...ugh.
I called Frye to get a replacement pair thinking I just got some duds....but they are no longer in production (hmm, wonder why) and now I have to pay to ship them back and take a credit.
If you only plan on wearing these boots every once in a while, then they are super cute. Another plus is that they leather is really high quality, but it doesn't make up for the negatives. Would NOT recommend.

After two weeks in my shopping cart, I convinced myself to spend $150 or so on a pair of shoes for the first time. I do not regret it! These boots are comfortable with really soft leather and padded foot-bed. You can easily tuck pants into them, though my ankles are small so there's a bit of extra space if I'm not wearing warm socks. I'm a 7.5 and these were true to size, if not a tiny bit bigger than I thought they'd be. Overall, I'm very happy with this product, and though pricing was a bit steep, you do get what you pay for!!

These boots would be absolutely wonderful if the leather was durable. Great ground feel, comfortable design, but like most other barefoot creations they simply don't hold up.

I've tried and tried to find a flat shoe that will last more than 6 months of daily wear. I was hoping the Troop Leather would be able to withstand the strain of being worn everyday, but after 6 weeks the toe-box leather split on both boots.

Not to mention when I contacted OTZ via email, it took the guy over three weeks and two reminders to respond to my questions. His suggestion? Here it is cut and pasted from the email--"a toe guard may be the best call for that kind of use:)"

Inadequate material construction coupled with poor customer service. I wish it weren't so.
