These shearling lined boots are really fashionable, nicely made and cute. Surprise of surprises, the footbed is lined completely inside not just the cuff, which makes them quite warm for winter wearing. The cuff can be worn up or down. The lacings can go all the way up as they have hook grommets at the top. As I mention in all my reviews, I always order a size up on fashion boots as I did on these. I have a regular sized medium foot--I usually wear a size 8 1/2 or 9 and ordered a 10. I can't attest to why this works for me, except that I suspect that most fashion boots are imported from China or other overseas manufacturers. The gray outer cover is a soft leather, suede type material. The arch is a comfortable slope and the toe box is slightly elongated (not stubby), whith a nice thick high heel, which makes the shoe comfortable. They look so great with jeans, leggings, or jeggings, with a long sweater and scarf. Fashionable, warm, comfortable.
