After a few failed attempts at "the perfect boot" I found these. At first they weren't exactly what I was looking for but I ended up loving them. Honestly I wanted more of a "skirt boot" the type of boot that hugs your calves and doesn't leave extra space. I'm one of those gals with thinner calves and I have a hard time finding boots that fit properly. These do NOT. However, they are awesome for skinny jeans, leggings, jeggings, and my skinny corduroy pants. The majority of the time I wear them unfolded at the top so they go above my knee and they look great. I recently wore them on a day I did an exceptional amount of walking and they were very comfortable for my usually very picky feet (I ordered them a half size bigger too). These boots don't have any cushion so if you like that you may want inserts. The heel isn't ridiculous and the leather is very nicely done, in fact a couple of times I thought I might've scuffed them by hitting the toes but they've held up nicely. The only reason for the 4 stars is that the measurement led me to believe they would fit my calves closely, I would have given them a 5 if I'd ordered them to wear with pants.

These are Dr Martens. Enough said. But, really... these are true to size and not too stiff, they are much more feminine that the original Dr Marten with the big rounded toe. These are comfy and I don't feel like I would slip and fall with these on in the snowy, icy weather of Michigan. Love, Love, Love and highly recommend these boots :)

OK, so first off, this boot is really cute. That said, it is also made of a synthetic and not suede. However, for a light weight, run around boot it works really well. I don't usually go for synthetics - but made an exception on this one. It seems to clean up well. The fit was a little tight across the top of my foot at first (I have a wide toe box area) but they stretched a bit and the fit is good now. I like 'em!

Overall I am very happy with these boots. I love the wooden wedge, it's solid but lightweight. Some of the seams are not finished as well as I might like, but I'm not going to be wearing a boot like this everyday anyway. The shaft fits my calf very well....this was awesome for me but may be a factor for some because my calf is very small/narrow and usually tall boot shafts are way too big for me. If you have an average size calf keep this in mind. I have worn them a few times now, all day long, and my feet were an average achy-ness at the end of the day...on par for wearing a high heel while walking/standing a lot.

Icebugs Women's Cortina Snow Boot,Black,6.5 M Review

I recently moved to Colorado from the south, so I'm not used to cold or snow at all.

My boyfriend's brother-in-law is an avid runner, through all weather conditions. He recommended Icebugs to my boyfriend when my boyfriend lamented that he wasn't able to run in snowy/icy conditions.

My boyfriend bought some Icebugs and loved them, so he recommended them to me. I bought these boots (in "ash" which is a very light gray) as opposed to the running shoes though, because I have problems just walking through icy conditions without falling on my face. They look very nice and really do have excellent traction. They fit true to size, though mine are a little tight across the top of my foot. However, I have slightly wide foot, plus the boots are new and likely just need to break in.

I got these shoes for the traction, but as another reviewer mentioned, I don't find these boots exceptionally warm (I have Ugg boots that are slightly warmer). They do keep my feet dry from the snow, so overall I don't have any problem with these boots. Plus, the fabric is such that I don't have to worry about 'messing it up' (like I do with suede Uggs).

There are several different types of Icebugs available: some for running, some for warmth, some with metal studs on the bottom, some with rubber studs on the bottom, etc. so look around to make sure you get exactly what you want. These boots have rubber studs, which I like because I don't have to worry about damaging my floor.
